Paris, France
Paris is the capital city of France, population is almost 2.2M people. Paris airport (Charles de Gaulle) is a major European hub (one of the busiest airports in Europe). Paris is a charming city full of stunning architecture. Paris is one of Europe’s major finance hubs and is known for it’s highly regarded fashion, tourism, as well as art and science. Annual tourist to Paris is over 23 million tourist (mainly visiting from the United States, other European countries and Asia).

- Notre-Dame de Paris (unfortunately you will only be able to see the outside, as Notre-Dame has been closed since the fire in April 2019 and is anticipated to remain closed for 5 – 6 years to re-build the iconic Cathedrale)

Our stay in Paris was a short 24 hours…what do you do in 24 hours to enjoy the city?…very little sleep and lots of walking. We landed from Toronto at 6 am…dropped our luggage off at our hotel…we stayed at a wonderful boutique hotel (amazing location) Hotel Britannique (picture below), grabbed a coffee and walked for hours to see as much as possible:
- Notre-Dame (we were fortunate to see Notre-Dame before the tragic fire)
- Louvre
- Champs-Elysees
- Arc de Triomphe
- Pont des Arts (love lock bridge…and yes we added a lock and tossed the key in the River Seine)
- Walked along River Seine…very romantic
- Eiffel Tower
- Dinner by the Eiffel Tower
- Sleep…very little up the next morning to the train station to catch our train to Amsterdam
